Lightly Salted Hazelnut Butter
Simply dry roasted hazelnuts with a pinch of pink Himalayan table salt. No added oil, no preservatives of any kind. Think Northwest Peanut Butter!
Simply hazelnuts, salt and dark chocolate chips. No added oils or sugars or anything! Spreads easily on bread and works beautifully in a banana sandwich. A healthy, tasty, treat you can feel good about giving your children and/or grandma.
Cinnamon Blend Hazelnut Butter
Simply hazelnuts, salt and cinnamon. Once known as “Fiesta Butter” from my wedding in 2010, I took out the agave and tripled the cinnamon for a more health conscious, sugar free, low carb version. Cinnamon is widely credited for its extensive list of health benefits and I wanted to create something delicious and hugely beneficial to our organisms. Cinnamon has been credited for blood sugar control and cancer prevention. It is effective against arthritis and osteoporosis. Cinnamon has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and aids in alertness, memory and cognitive function. The list goes on! Cinnamon, without sugar, is medicine.
Simply squished dry roasted hazelnuts. No salt. No added oil. Just hazelnuts! Excellent for those looking to minimize salt in their diet. Beautiful as a healthy fat mixed into baby food. My cherubs grew up on this unsalted blend mixed with pears or sweet potato.
Dry Roasted Hazelnuts
The name says it all. Our roaster removes the chaff of the hazelnut as it roasts, leaving a perfectly roasted and clean hazelnut, ready to be munched on directly or further used in your home kitchen. Excellent roughly chopped on salads!
Lightly Salted Roasted Hazelnuts
Hazelnuts are dry roasted to perfection and tossed in a smidgen of organic sunflower oil and pink Himalayan table salt. Ready just as they are to pour in a bowl for company arriving or pack for an on the road snack.
Dehydrated to between 6-9% moisture for preservation and steam pasteurized (per FDA regulation), these raw hazelnuts are sweet and chewy and satisfying. If you are looking for that fresh out of the shell taste, soak overnight in clean water and they swell to that October harvest crunchy nostalgic filbert experience us Oregonians so love!
Ground Dry Roasted Hazelnuts
Simply dry roasted hazelnuts we have made easy for you to add into a meal by finely dicing. Excellent cooked on top of fish. Superb in pancakes and waffles. Glorious in muffins and cakes! Great way to add flavor, fiber, protein and healthy fat into your nutritional plan.
If you are looking for a truly raw (unpasteurized) hazelnut, buying in-shell is your ticket. I love to give my cherubs a measuring cup and ask them to fill it with cracked nuts for dinner; it’s a wonderful way to include them in the meal preparation process and the shells make mulch (keeps the slugs away!)
Fresh Fruit and Dried Fruit Hazelnut Mixes
Only available in person from the Oregon City Farmers Market. To add diversity to our orchard and create more habitat for bees and other beneficial insects and birds, we grow a variety apples, peaches, nectarines, pears and plums. Soon to include more peaches, nectarines and apricots! Sold fresh at the market in season and dried in a mix I call “Glove Box Mix” throughout the off season.
